While studying film as part of my Art Major, I was given the task this past semester to construct a long take film using techniques we reviewed in class. This film took about 15 minutes to set up and film. The principles I kept in mind were the sound, performance, and camera handling. Tethering the camera to the top of my bike, I rode across the campus , retooling how a trek across campus could seem like when in a rush, mixing straight shots with chaotic slips and turns to contrast the smooth, canted shot by the end of the ride. I chose to fuse the diegetic sound of passerbys with the non-diegetic soundtrack in order to create the illusion one sometimes gets of being unfocused as they rush towards their destination.
These are 3D Animation walk cycles I did as part of my final assignments in my Intro to 3D Animation class back in Fall 2013. The first video is a model in a basic walk cycle, shown from the front and the side. The second video was meant to be a personalized walk cycle. But given my social disorder, it was hard for me to explain the personality and story I meant to incorporate into the animation. The scenario I personally decided to go with was a cartoonish man passing by on his way to have a great day.
This was the first set of 3D animations I did back in Fall 2013. The first demonstrates objects either bouncing in place or moving through the slow-in/slow-out principles of 3D animation, and the second is a ball bouncing from off-screen to slowly rolling in-screen
This is my first Studio production I produced for my RTVF 30 (Introduction to Television/ Film Production). There are some issues I addressed in my post-mortem, but overall, I was satisfied with the flow and direction the video had followed, as well as the advice I could lend to the talent between takes.
These are some forest paintings for a class project I did a year ago. I tweeked this a bit based on some comments and critiques I received. The idea was to create forest scenes that could appear in a fairytale book, with contrasting moods. The first is a meant to be a night scene with powerful sensation of light invoked by the magical pool in the near-center and by fireflies drawn to the pool. The latter is a day scene in a dead forest, with twisted, grotesque elements to invoke the idea of something wicked behind the dead appearance of the forest.
